NEXT JAPAN MARKETING CENTER CO., LTD. (HQ: Osaka, CEO: Masayuki OKUMURA), the development section of the OS Group, has launched the TERRA SERDE* self-powered pole street light (models: TFX-3000S, TFX-2000S, TFX-1000S), a street light that charges the batteries with electricity generated by solar sheets and uses it for LED light.<\/p>\n
The self-powered pole street light is wrapped on the slim pole with a solar sheet (model: CG1001) and is inserted the packs of safe and long-life batteries (model: IP1001). The CG1001 solar sheet is the world\u2019s highest efficiency of a thin-film photovoltaic cell, and the IP1001 battery is high-safety and long-life. The product portfolio covers three types (TFX-3000S, TFX-2000S, TFX-1000S), which are different in the generating output, the battery capacity, and the brightness of LED light. All three can light up a maximum of 40 hours (8 hours \u00d7 5 days) without sunlight.<\/p>\n
The self-powered pole is designed simply and harmonizing any environment due to not using solar panels or battery control boxes causing protrusions. The photovoltaic surface is vertical and cylindrical in shape; therefore, it can save space and achieves stable generating and maintenance-free by the less affection of the dust, snow, and fall leaves. It is accomplished to resist the 60 m\/s wind due to no requirement of the cables. As named, the work to get the off-grid power source is only the installation of a self-powered pole. The self-powered pole suits for various places of off-grid areas, such as the mountain roadside, and streets of the smart cities.<\/p>\n

As the next step, in addition to LED lighting, we are going to develop as the independent field server to combine with various sensors such as a Wi-Fi router, a security camera, a metrological sensor, a river monitoring, a ground surveillance sensor, and an ocean server. <\/p>\n
